Battery & Charger

All pool lifts manufactured by RehaMed International are powered by a 24 volt, rechargeable battery. This is a lead acid battery that should be left on the charger when not in use. It is IMPORTANT that the battery not be allowed to fully discharge, as this could damage the battery. The best practice is to make it a rule to put the battery on the charger each evening. If the lift is being stored for the winter, leave the battery on the charger all winter. You cannot overcharge the battery.

The charger connects to the port located on the same side of the battery as the control box connection.

Stability Vest
The Stability Vest was designed to facilitate the transfer of individuals with limited or no idependent upper body or trunk stability. The vest attaches the user to the chair, strapping them in for support.

Arm Rests
Optional, flip-up armrests are available for all lifts. This accessory item can be retrofitted to a lift after it has been delivered. The armrests are available in white, for PAL and Splash models, and in gray, for the aXs.

Seat Pad
White, waterproof seat pad designed to enhance comfort and minimize potential skin damage that could occur during transfer is available as an optional accessory.

Spine Board Attachment
The Spine Board Attachment works with any standard spine board (not included). Simply remove the chair assembly by pulling the attachment pin and replace that assembly with the Spine Board Attachment. One person can easily extract an injured swimmer from a pool, keeping the injured person fully supine during the procedure.

Splash! Caddy
The Splash! Caddy facilitates handling, transporting and storing a Splash! aquatic lift. Fabricated from rugged steel for strength and powder-coated for appearance, the Splash! Caddy helps to protect both your investment and your staff. The Caddy simplifies both insertion and removal of the connector shaft into the insert in the pool deck and becomes a convenient storage rack for the lift when not in use.

VitaGloves
Fabricated from "VitaTex" a unique new nylon fabric that does not absorb moisture and contains holes to allow for air circulation. These gloves feature a unique cupped design to hold the entire hand, especially the thumbs, in place. The gloves are washable and available in both large and small.

Tri-Post Adaptors
Adapts to any VitaGlide handle to provide support for users with limited gripping ability with their hands, enabling them to use the VitaGlide without gloves.

VitaGlide Exercise DVD
A great supplement to the VitaGlide, this DVD is the first in a continuing series of exercise videos that provide structured workout programs for VitaGlide users. The initial video, in a DVD format, includes two great workouts for the VitaGlide. Workout 1 is a Beginning Level Workout called Building Your Endurance. The goal of this workout is to be able to sustain a medium level of effort for twenty minutes. Workout 2 is an Intermediate Level Workout called Interval Training.

The goal of this workout is to introduce the user to light interval training by incorporating a series of one minute spurts into a sustained medium level of effort workout. The Exercise Videos enable the viewer to work out along with an instructor as part of an on-screen VitaGliding Class. They are great for either working out alone or in a group setting. The suggested retail price for VitaGlide videos is $24.95 and they are available from any VitaGlide dealer.
